Top Management of Housing and Catering Services companies in Italy by revenue

Italy's management of housing and catering services sector, like the rest of the country's economy, has suffered in the past thanks to a fast turnover of leaders, ongoing political turmoil and the global recession.

The nation's property market is still in recovery after the financial crisis, when thousands of Italian property-related businesses went bust, bringing the banking system to crisis point. Italian house prices fell 1.2% year-on-year in early 2016, in sharp contrast to the rest of the EU. At the same time Italy's highly competitive catering services sector employs 100,000 people, split evenly between public and private sector.

Italy's catering sector is also in a state of flux, a market consisting of numerous small independent family businesses. Early 2015 saw their combined Catering and Hotels sector on the rise, confirming expert estimates on market growth of at least 1.14% in 2017 compared to an estimated 1% for the previous year. The country's out-of-home food consumption market alone is worth a staggering 75 Billion Euros, a third of all the food and drink consumed there.
